Yu Yu Hakusho
YYH is a great anime with fantastic characters, villains and fight scenes. It is an older anime however, it has great animation and great characters. It originally aired on Cartoon Network and adult movie Swim. A few episodes from the show are available on DVD.
Yusuke Urameshi is a Spirit Detective tasked with protecting the Human World from supernatural threats. He is also the de facto leader of Team Urameshi. He is trying to locate Raizen. He is also a fierce adversary of Genkai.
Kuwabara is the most fragile human in the group. A sword’s hilt can make Kuwabara’s sword more powerful. He also plays a very important role in the story. To unleash the power of Yusuke He faked his death.
The anime is filled with great fights and a few great villains. It’s also a relaxing drama that focuses on character development. It has good animation and is definitely worth watching. The Japanese version of Sacred Energy has a similar storyline to YYH.
The anime series is a remake the manga Cerebus Syndrome, but the anime is slightly different. It skips a few of its comedy episodes and focuses more on the development of characters. It also cuts out certain action.
The Perils of Pauline (1914)
It was originally a 20-episode series, The Perils of Pauline is one of the most viewed silent movies of all time. Pearl White plays the role of the heroine who is always in danger. She is forced to protect herself from an evil “guardian” of her inheritance, who plans to murder her on a regular basis.
Harry Marvin (Crane Wilbur), is the son of an affluent man. He is planning to marry Pauline however, she wants independence. Both are shocked by Pauline’s decision. They plot a stupid murder. Harry is an arrogant man who doesn’t want Pauline to die. He treats her like a wayward child. He is also as stupid as James Bond.
The Perils of Pauline was directed by Louis J. Gasnier. It was also edited in France for a release in 28mm. It was picked for the National Film Registry. The film was rereleased by Universal Studios in 1967 as an updated comedy. Paramount Pictures also reissued the film in 1947 as a Betty Hutton vehicle.
The film’s storyline revolves around the death of Pauline’s uncle which leaves Pauline with one million dollars. She plans to travel throughout the next year prior to when she is married. A sly “guardian” who is part of Pauline’s inheritance, plans to kill her. To help him, he hires Hicks as his henchman. A side character uncovers the deeds of Hicks.
Once was a Time
“Once Upon a time” transformed fairy tales into new and exciting versions. It introduced new characters, plot lines and also new characters. However, as the show progressed into the later seasons, the material became duller.
“Into the Deep” is a typical episode However, it doesn’t live up to Season 2’s promise. The story itself is good. But Emma’s personality is a bit self-centered to be realistic. Aren’t she the only one with the ability to create light magic?
Emma is going to be thrilled to be free from Hook But I doubt she will forget her love for Hook. She’s tempted to flee to New York, but she’s afraid of romantic love and happiness. She is convinced that Killian has left her due to her fear. Is it worth taking the risk?
It turns out Emma’s family had been keeping things from her. When she gets back home, she realizes that the magical canonizing cuff which keeps people from being cursed has been given to her by someone. She also finds a knife inside.
Although the episode is impressive, I don’t think the novelty is worth the effort. This episode isn’t suitable for you if only interested in the fabled Hat Trick.
