Erykah Badu’s Badu Mushroom & Tea

Erykah Badu and Cookies founder Berner have teamed up to introduce “That Badu,” her own strain. The music star and entrepreneur describes her Limoncello-crossbred from Mad Cow Genetics strain as an aromatic, lemon fragrance that will “just get you through the day without overexposure.”

Cookie storefronts’ launch event for the collaboration will take place on International Women’s Day (8 March) and feature Badu’s range of products. These include ceramic rolling-trays and bongs featuring blue-andwhite designs that are inspired by ancient Qinghua-style ceramics.

Erykah, the Grammy Award-winning Neo Soul icon, is now a cannabis enthusiast. Recently, she collaborated with entrepreneur Berner in order to introduce “The Badu,” a strain and tea set named for her. Erykah has always been a strong advocate for women’s rights. She’s collaborating with Cookies cannabis in honor of Women’s History Month to launch That Badu, a premium line designed specifically for women and which will debut at International Women’s Day on March 8. A second wave will be released around Mother’s Day, 14 May.

Badu’s brand vision was fully realized from the research and testing to the packaging design. All products feature a purple-and-white pattern reminiscent of ancient Chinese Qinghua Ceramics. This includes her porcelain tray for rolling joint and Roberto Lugo’s vase-shaped Bong, which she affectionately called “Woman Vessel.” Together, the two collaborated to create a piece that celebrates cannabis’ beauty and ritual.
